Female Photographer on the Wedding Set

Essex wedding photographerWhile deciding for who will be taking videos and pictures of your wedding receptions, you might be saying, “Nah, it does not really matter male or female. I just want someone skillful enough to capture the right moments.”

That’s not always the case for the bride.

Very interesting enough, a female photographer who did a poll in a website regarding gender favoritism showed 47 votes with 12 of which preferred female and the rest voted that gender does not matter. The discussion section is first flooded with comments of “I do not think photography skills have something to do with genders”. And then, some of the brides and even grooms gave out their opinions.

Comfort

Male photographers are… male. Some women feel uncomfortable having their photos taken by the opposite sex and they feel insecure. Considerate grooms will want to consider this as wedding occasions and the preparations are known to stress the couple a lot, especially in the eastern world. One bride explains that she wants someone at her ‘wavelength’.

Others just don’t like a male in the dressing room. Some are perfectly okay to have a male photographer standing in there, waiting. But, some just really prefer to have a female wedding photographer who can take sentiment and ‘private’ pictures to be shown only to the couple. Many male photographers have also shown disappointment when the precious moment of dressing up for the holy occasions had to be missed because he’s a male. And the bride just does not want to get undressed in front of any male except her future husband.

Different View

You can never guess how a female Essex wedding photographer from Studio Rochford will see things differently to male. Research does prove that female and male in general have different circuit of thinking: female likes to see a picture as a whole, gets sentiment easier and takes pictures that can also relate to how the brides are feeling. A female wedding photographer can be showing something different from what you usually see from males.

Some grooms even showed favorability to women due to their different perspectives that could be better, but some of these are just personal preferences.

A famous female photojournalist spoke out about what her editors had in mind when they see pictures taken by female. They show sentiments; they get into the story very easily and deeply and are usually more emotionally tied to the job.

Gender does matter… but it does not really matter on the other hand

Picking your photographer because he’s a man is a wrong preconception you should never make. Skills have nothing to do with genders. Except that female wedding photographers may have a little difficulty in carrying their equipments around. The differences I have broken down above have nothing to do with a female wedding photographer being better than male or vice versa. The fact that they will be seeing things differently and that some bride are more comfortable around them are the reasons I am saying that gender matters.

Do not let gender limit you from seeing a possibly talented Essex wedding photographer.
